Job Summary
Field-based service and maintenance of a broad range of laboratory equipment at customer sites, including blood bank freezers, centrifuges, chillers, CO2/LN2 back-up systems, freezers and refrigerators, incubators, and more. Responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing mechanical and electrical repairs, reading wiring diagrams, and ensuring safety protocols. Requires refrigeration training and at least 2+ years of hands-on experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong English communication. EPA certification is preferred. This role is highly physical and includes occasional overtime and on-call duties; on-site work at customer locations with a focus on preventative maintenance and accurate record-keeping. Required Qualifications
- Refrigeration training and 2+ years of hands-on experience
- Valid driver’s license with clean record for at least 12 months
- Electrical and control troubleshooting experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Trade School certificate, Military/Formal Training, or equivalent experience
- Ability to operate safely in varied environmental conditions
- Willingness to pass government background check
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- EPA certification (Universal preferred)
- Experience with testing equipment and reading wiring diagrams
