Job Summary
The Field Service Technician Trainee will complete Mazak Corporation's Field Service training program while installing, maintaining, and repairing Mazak equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and software issues, using precision levels for adjustments, and understanding blueprints and schematics. This role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude, strong mathematical skills, and the ability to lift and handle equipment safely. Overnight travel is necessary for assignments primarily in the Detroit, MI area.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Strong Mathematical ability
- Ability to read micrometers
- Ability to set up and read dial indicators
- Use a multimeter to safely check AC and DC voltages
- General Computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive daily basis
- Stronger problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
