Field Service Technician - Traffic Signals & ITS

Job Summary
Provide service and customer support during field visits and phone support, managing on-site installation and configuration of Wavetronix core products. Diagnose errors, demonstrate product troubleshooting, and deliver technical training to up to 10 customers in the field or office. Comprehend client requirements to make appropriate recommendations while building positive relationships and documenting processes in CRM. Perform at least five solo technical customer visits within the first year, adapting to flexible shifts and travel to multiple locations. Master installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of traffic radar and ITS equipment to solve customer problems effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Master installation and configuration of Wavetronix core products
- Have a basic understanding of networking
- Have previous field service experience in traffic signal/ITS cabinets
- Technical degree or certifications in ITS/Traffic industry
- Have clear written and verbal communication skills
- Cooperate with the team and share information across the organization
- Document processes and produce timely and detailed trip reports
- Keep track of current projects and support cases in CRM
- Be self-motivated and enjoy working on and with teams
- Be intrinsically motivated and enjoy working with the customer
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt workflow to changing project schedules
- Excited about personal development and eager to engage in development training
- Willing and able to travel to multiple locations
- Candidates must be able to communicate effectively via email, phone, and in person
- Candidates should be willing to get their hands dirty and solve the customer's problem
- Candidates should be willing to document the problem
- Candidates should be willing to teach others how they solved that problem
