Job Summary
The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing best-in-class service and support for TARGAN’s broiler hatchery customers, focusing on maintenance, emergency repairs, and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems. Ideal candidates will have a strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills to resolve customer issues effectively. Duties include performing routine preventive maintenance, managing training programs, and handling system evaluations. Candidates should possess an associate degree or higher, with 1-5 years of relevant experience, and demonstrate critical thinking, initiative, and proficiency with tools and technical diagrams.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electro/Mechanical Systems or related curriculum and/or a bachelor's degree in poultry science or related field from an accredited institution
- 1-5 years of related experience
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Proven mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting ability
- Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, judgment, and initiative
- Strong organizational skills
- Self-motivator and self-starter
- Ability to learn, produce, and submit accurate service and expense reports promptly
- Ability to understand and follow blueprints, machine drawings, and electrical & pneumatic drawings and schematics
- Proficient in the use of a laptop computer, tablet, and related software
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record
Additional Requirements
- Potential exposure to hazardous environments in commercial poultry hatcheries
- Available for on-call/after-hours work beyond a standard 40-hour work week
