Job Summary
Install, test, analyze, maintain, repair and train on Syntegon packaging equipment at customer sites; provide technical customer service to ensure satisfaction. Travel up to ~90% across North America, Canada, and worldwide; proximity to a major metropolitan airport is essential. Requires 2+ years Packaging Machinery experience or related degree, and experience with PLC and motion control hardware/software, servo drives, and HMIs. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in tight quarters; may require safety/background checks and PPE. Training customers on operation, maintenance, and safety rules; coordinate upgrades and provide support to Sales/Project Managers. Position involves on-site installations, testing, and customer-facing technical service. Health benefits, 401(k), education assistance, and other company benefits are offered.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a 2+ year Packaging Machinery degree or have 2+ years of work experience with at least one Bosch model Wrapper, Robot, Closer, Vertical (VFFS)
- Minimum of 2+ years in the Packaging Industry with experience installing and troubleshooting PLC and motion control software and hardware, and with prior work experience in repair/ maintenance of capital equipment or electronics, such as servo drives, HMI's and programmable controllers.
