FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Job Summary
Start up and troubleshoot S&L equipment in the field, communicating with customer personnel and internal departments during operations. Train client staff on equipment maintenance and act as a general technical resource for internal teams and outside customers. Prepare detailed field reports and expense/start-up reports while assisting other engineers as needed. Answer customer correspondence regarding equipment issues and ensure start-ups minimize warranty and back charges. Maintain neat work areas and vehicles. Work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends, with 70% annual travel in a wastewater treatment environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- 2 – 4 years' experience in equipment servicing and troubleshooting
- Must have valid driver's license and U.S. passport (or ability to possess a passport)
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry and/or drag up to twenty-five (25) pounds if necessary
- Ability to ascend and descend two (2) flights of stairs
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary
- Requires extensive travel (70% annually) and ability to work in a wastewater treatment environment
Desired Qualifications
- Some college or technical school preferred
- Working knowledge of pumping equipment, water treatment equipment, and controls preferred
- Mechanical experience with tools and assembly piping, gaskets, and gears preferred
- Electrical experience in relay logic, PLCs high voltage, and schematics preferred
- Coding skills for PLC's and control panels a PLUS
