Field Service Technician (Site Leads)

Job Summary
Provide overall site leadership for material handling installations and coordinate crews, general contractors, and vendors. Lead daily planning meetings, resolve safety and schedule issues, and serve as the primary customer contact throughout the installation lifecycle. Own site-wide logistics including labor coordination, material flow, and equipment staging while championing a safety-first culture. Train required personnel on safety certifications, conduct audits and inspections, and mentor field installers. Assemble, move, and install sorting and conveyor systems, test features, and verify conformance to specifications using hand and power tools. This role requires 80%+ travel with the company covering expenses, and involves 10-hour shifts in a high-pressure environment. Candidates must have 5+ years of industry experience and strong leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of industry experience
- 3+ years of site leadership
- Ability to travel up to 80%+
- Strong knowledge of material handling systems
- Industrial safety knowledge
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Experience using computer, cell phone, email, Microsoft Office and Teams
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and machine drawings
- Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
- Keen attention to detail
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to qualify for a US passport
- Ability to work minimum of 10-hour shifts
- Ability to lift, push, bend, and unload equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
