Job Summary
Coordinate and perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on natural gas compression equipment, including complex repairs and major overhauls. Diagnose compressor system failures, optimize performance, and conduct proactive inspections to ensure unit health. Build and maintain customer relationships while completing required reports and analyzing inventory to communicate with Supply Chain. Prioritize repair work under competing demands and assess the best solutions for repair or replacement needs. Perform consistent inspections and maintenance to proactively ensure unit health.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of compressor maintenance or related industry experience
- Must wear all required PPE, including fire-retardant clothing, hard hats, face shields, hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots
- Requires operation of heavy equipment
- Requires employee to stand for up to 75% of the time
- Requires employee to climb ladders or stairs
- Intermittent lifting of > 50lbs from the ground
- High noise environment (>85dbA) will occur with ear protection
- Potential, controlled, exposure to hazardous chemicals
- Requires work in outdoor conditions, including extreme heat and extreme cold
- Overtime, extended, or non-traditional working hours may be required
- Requires moving and maintaining self in different positions—stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
- Requires an employee to frequently type and use computer and other office equipment such as a copier, printer, calendar, telephone, etc
Desired Qualifications
- Technical or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or related field
- Caterpillar G3600/G3500 Natural Gas Engine experience
