Job Summary
As a Field Service Technician at Sandvik Mining, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical aspects of underground mining equipment at mining sites. Key responsibilities include inspecting equipment, adjusting and repairing components, testing repaired equipment, and completing technical reports. This role demands a strong mechanical or electrical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Experience in diesel and high voltage electrical systems is advantageous. Additionally, the role requires approximately 25% travel and will involve working in both underground and surface environments.
Required Qualifications
- Technical certification or diploma in mechanical or electrical fields
- Minimum of 7 years industry-related experience
- Excellent troubleshooting ability
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Possess strong interpersonal skills with a customer service based personality
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret equipment schematics
