Job Summary
Field Service Technician (Heavy Duty Mechanic) responsible for troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of mechanical and electrical aspects of underground mining equipment; perform inspections, adjust/repair/replace defective parts, test operation, commission new equipment at customer sites, and provide training; stay updated on product developments and best practices; read hydraulic and electrical schematics; complete accurate reports and participate in safety initiatives; travel across Canada to various mine sites and be prepared for varied shifts; maintain tools, PPE and a safe work area.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant trade certification (red seal is considered an asset)
- At least 3 years related experience with mining equipment (asset)
- Reading hydraulic and electrical schematics (excellent proficiency)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel to local mine sites and across Canada
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
