Job Summary
Field Service Technician with Sandvik Mining. Responsible for troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of mechanical/electrical aspects of surface mining equipment and components; commissioning and training at customer sites; inspect equipment, adjust/repair components, test performance, and generate technical and failure reports; participate in safety programs and continuous improvement; requires ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics, travel to multiple Canadian mine sites, and maintain tools and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Apprentice or Red Seal Mechanic
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel to local mine sites and across Canada
- Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues with mining equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
