Job Summary
Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic for Sandvik Mining field service. Responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical aspects of mining equipment and components according to specifications, plus new equipment commissioning and training at customer sites. 2-week in/out rotation with paid travel time and an assigned company vehicle. Overtime opportunities, tool reimbursement, pension and comprehensive benefits. Must have a Diploma in Mechanical Field and Red Seal Journeyman, with at least 3 years related mining equipment experience. Excellent ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical issues; strong reading of schematics; effective communication; and willingness to travel across Western Canada. Responsible for safety compliance, reporting, and mentoring junior staff as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in a Mechanical Field
- Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman
- At least 3 years related experience with mining equipment
- Proficiency reading schematics
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel to local mine sites and across Western Canada
- Ability and willingness to work varied shifts
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
