Field Service Technician

Job Summary
Inspect mining equipment for performance faults, adjust machinery, and repair or replace defective components according to defined specifications. Test repaired units to verify operational performance, commission new equipment, and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Complete accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists while staying current with industry best practices. Perform risk assessments prior to tasks, maintain tools, and ensure strict compliance with safety policies and PPE requirements. This permanent role in Nunavut offers a comprehensive compensation package including a pension plan, tool reimbursement, and a company vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel to local mine sites and across Canada as required
- Ability and willingness to work varied shifts (as required)
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant trade certification (red seal is considered an asset)
- At least 3 years related experience with mining equipment is considered an asset
- Previous experience with equipment would be an asset
- Common Core training is considered an asset
- Excellent proficiency in reading hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues with mining equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
