Job Summary
Field Service Engineer-Service Dept. responsible for on-site troubleshooting and repair of Salvagnini equipment, customer training on state-of-the-art products, and on-site modifications to equipment. Includes submitting clear, detailed reports of work performed, open/closed points, and timelines; requires adherence to SOPs and implementation of new procedures. Travel up to 75% with per diem, company-issued travel card, mileage reimbursement; all tools, laptop, and cell phone provided. Must be able to lift 75 lbs, work in high-energy environment, and possess or obtain a valid passport.
Required Qualifications
- A 2-year degree in mechanical or electrical technology or equivalent work experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Experience with conveyors, gears, hydraulic or pneumatic valves and actuators
- Experience with PLCs, servo motors and controllers
- PC communications including Ethernet and serial/parallel interfaces
- Excellent communication skills and ability to document work
- Ability to travel up to 75% including weekends
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain rental vehicles
- MS Office/Excel/Word skills
