Field Service Technician

Job Summary
On-site troubleshooting and repair of Salvagnini equipment; provide customer support and training on state-of-the-art machines from stand-alone to highly flexible automated systems; travel up to 75% (US and international); requires 2-year degree in mechanical/electrical tech or equivalent; proficient with PLCs, servo motors, controllers, serial/Ethernet communications, MS Office; must lift 75 lbs, climb stairs/ladders, read electrical/mechanical drawings, and maintain professional customer relations. Reports documentation of work performed; adhere to SOPs and implement new procedures; strong technical and communication skills required.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year degree in mechanical or electrical technology or equivalent work experience
- Military experience or practical work experience in a similar field will be considered
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-energy and fast-paced work environment
- Fluent in PC use (Windows) and MS Office
- Advanced knowledge: mechanical devices (conveyors, pulleys, gears, hydraulic/pneumatic valves and actuators), electrical devices (servo motors, controllers, relays, breakers, troubleshooting)
- Travel up to 75% including US and international locations
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport and a valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
- Climbing steps and ladders; navigate tight spaces as needed
- Experience reading electrical schematics and using digital multi-meters
- Strong mathematical skills (Algebra, Trigonometry)
- Ability to read mechanical drawings
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure
