Job Summary
On-site Field Service Technician responsible for troubleshooting and repairing Salvagnini equipment, providing customer training on equipment, and performing on-site modifications. Requires mechanical/electrical technology background with PLCs, servo motors, and PC communications; travel up to 75% including some weekends; per diem and mileage reimbursement provided; tools, laptop, and cell phone supplied. Must lift up to 75 lbs, adhere to SOPs, and submit detailed service reports.
Required Qualifications
- A 2-year degree in mechanical or electrical technology or equivalent work experience in the field
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude (conveyors, gears, hydraulics, PLCs, servo motors, controllers)
- Proficiency with PC communications, Ethernet, serial/parallel interfaces, and basic MS Office tools
- Excellent listening, communication, and customer-facing skills
- Ability to travel frequently (up to 75%), including some weekends; valid passport and driver’s license; ability to obtain rental vehicles
