Job Summary
Field Service Technician on-site troubleshooting and repair of Salvagnini equipment, providing customer support and training on state-of-the-art products from stand-alone machines to highly flexible automated systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repair, on-site modifications, and customer training; submitting clear, detailed reports; maintaining professional appearance and customer satisfaction; adherence to SOPs and new procedures. Requires strong mechanical/electrical technical ability, PLCs, servo motors, serial/ethernet communications, and proficient PC use with MS Office. Will travel frequently (up to 75%, including international travel). Must be able to lift 75 lbs., have a valid driver's license and, if necessary, obtain a passport.
Required Qualifications
- A 2-year degree in mechanical or electrical technology or equivalent work experience
- Military experience or practical work experience in a similar field will be considered
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Fluent in PC use as a development and communications tool; MS Office/Excel/Word skills required
- Mechanical devices: conveyors, pulleys, gears, hydraulic or pneumatic valves and actuators
- Electrical devices: PLCs, Servo Motors, Controllers, relays, breakers, troubleshooting
- Travel up to 75%, including international travel; valid passport required
