Job Summary
Conduct on-site technical support for industrial battery projects, performing hands-on installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of battery systems and associated hardware. Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with limited supervision, including cell and module charging/balancing, while acting as the direct escalation point for field service concerns. Execute site decommissioning tasks such as maintenance, cleanup, and equipment removal, ensuring full compliance with OSHA regulations and industry safety standards. Manage field tools, complete daily reports and expense documentation, and collaborate with teams to adopt new technologies and improve standard operating procedures. Requires 75%+ regional and national travel to customer sites.
Required Qualifications
- Technical or Trade degree, High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- 1+ experience as a field service technician in the electrical power generation, renewable energy spaces, or similar
- related safety certifications
- Experience with computers and installation of controls related firmware and software
- Fluent with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively work as an individual but also coordinate and work with a team
- Continuous learner and capable of executing multiple projects and objectives
- Ability to follow directions and complete tasks per commitment
- Self-directed, highly detail-oriented, organized, and flexible
- Accomplishments that reflect leadership, teamwork, integrity, and accountability
- Willingness to travel and work with customers
- Requires ability to regularly lift objects 50+ lbs, stand sit or kneel for extended periods, and work outside in broad range of weather conditions
- 75% or more travel to customer sites
