Job Summary
Field Service Technician responsible for performing service, preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades and refurbishment on equipment (Forklifts, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Liftgates, Hooklifts, Skiploaders & Hoists) at external or Hiab locations in Raleigh area, following Manager’s instructions. Maintain customer relationships, document activities, stay current with technical developments, respond to customer queries, identify sales opportunities, and coach junior colleagues. Requires 100% travel, valid driver’s license, ability to obtain DOT Medical Card, and a High School diploma; 5+ years mechanical/hydraulic/electrical experience; own tools; adherence to safety and quality procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- Valid Driver’s License is required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card is required for this position
- 5+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations
- Own tools required
- Know, understand and comply with Hiab USA, Inc. Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions
- This position requires 100% travel
