Job Summary
Field Service Technician for regionally traveling assignments (up to 3 hours) with a company-provided truck. Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining customer equipment (motors, burners, control systems) to optimize performance. Travel to customer sites, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs. Occasionally assist nearby territories or larger projects with rare overnight stays and overtime pay. Requires hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, ability to work independently, and effective communication with customers and internal teams. Required Qualifications
- Experience working with large motors, fans, and related components
- Understanding of airflow, temperature control, exhaust systems, and fan systems
- Solid grasp of electrical theory, including current flow
- Experience with burners, heat transfer, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) a plus
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication to explain technical challenges to both internal teams and customers
- Ability to work independently but also know when to seek support
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain professional communication with customers
