Field Service Technician - Passenger Boarding Bridges

Job Summary
Perform installation, configuration, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems including HVAC-related components for passenger boarding bridges and related ground support equipment. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system malfunctions using established methods and technical knowledge, specifically targeting drive systems, elevation mechanisms, rotunda assemblies, wiring, relays, sensors, PLCs, and control panels. Conduct a Hazard Safety Assessment prior to each job and travel regularly to domestic and occasional international customer sites to perform field service functions. Communicate directly with customers to assess product usage, gather technical feedback, and provide basic operational guidance while documenting service activities and contributing to root cause analysis processes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- three (3) or more years of relevant experience in machine assembly, automotive or equipment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or light fabrication
- previous relevant contracting experience with Oshkosh Corporation
- an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the role
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain a passport
- Ability to pass a TSA background check
- Strong mechanical and technical skills with foundational electrical troubleshooting capability
- Ability to read and interpret basic schematics and technical documentation
- Ability to travel up to 80%
