Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and overhaul diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and emissions components on heavy construction equipment and on-highway trucks while performing preventative maintenance to minimize customer downtime. Utilize diagnostic software and OEM tools to troubleshoot complex issues, conduct road tests, and coordinate parts availability before returning units to service. Communicate repair scope and progress with customers and service advisors, maintaining strict adherence to safety policies and dealership standards. Requires a valid driver's license, CDL Class B, and ability to work on-call in outdoor field conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in Diesel, Heavy Equipment, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 2â3 years of relevant diesel repair experience required
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record required
- Ability to obtain CDL Class B and Health Card
- Ability to work on-call and flexible hours as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, or both strongly preferred
- 5â7+ years of experience highly preferred
