Field Service Technician

Job Summary
Travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, and repair NOV products while training customers on safe operation. Responsibilities include performing upgrades of software and hardware, communicating field failures, and completing service documentation. Candidates must have a high school diploma and 2 years of mechanical/welding and hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting experience, with basic electronics knowledge. The position requires a valid driver’s license, extended travel, and the ability to work in harsh environments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years Mechanical / Welding experience
- 2 years Hydraulic / Pneumatic troubleshooting experience
- Basic electronics knowledge
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Pass DOT driving background check and physical
- Pass SMAW, 3G and 4G weld test prior to employment
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time (2-3 weeks)
- On-call availability
- Employee provides basic tools
- Ability to work in harsh environments and limited spaces
- Ability to stand 95% of the workday
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Microsoft Office knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Mechanical / Welding experience (3-5 years preferred)
- Hydraulic / Pneumatic troubleshooting experience (3-5 years preferred)
- Knowledge of oil and gas field components
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to pass DOT driving background check and physical
- Must be able to achieve NOV driver status for vehicles over 10,001 lbs
- Must be able to pass SMAW, 3G and 4G weld test prior to employment
