Job Summary
Field Service Engineer I provides remote and on-site technical support for BD automated dispensing systems across the assigned region, including DoD and DHA facilities. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining proprietary hardware and software, performing preventive maintenance, installations, and calibrations, managing service documentation, and fostering customer relationships. Requires travel to government facilities, eligibility for CAC access, and adherence to MDR and regulatory requirements; must work both independently and with teams to meet service goals and escalate as needed. The role emphasizes in-person and remote support with preference for on-site presence, including substantial in-office collaboration where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in a related field or 3+ years of Field Service or Technical Support experience
- 24×7 on-call service experience preferred
- Medical or electromechanical device repair experience required
- CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent preferred
- Proficiency with Windows OS, networking, and diagnostic instruments
