Job Summary
Conduct acceptance and maintenance electrical testing on de-energized locked-out/tagged-out equipment while performing basic measurements and collecting accurate test data. Set up and remove test equipment, ensuring proper handling, storage, and maintenance of tools and work areas. Write detailed reports on test results and findings, submitting them in a timely manner. Travel up to 50% of the time and work occasional overtime as needed. Lift up to 50 pounds and wear mandated PPE including arc-flash suits and safety gear.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Must have a satisfactory background/MVR check
- Must pass a pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and/or random drug test
- Must have reliable transportation and possess a valid driver's license
- Basic understanding of electrical theory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Interpersonal and social skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Attention to detail
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Ability and willingness to work occasional overtime as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to walk, stand, climb, pull, push, sit, and work in a cramped or confined space
- Ability to work in conditions including dirt, heat, fumes, smoke, water, noise, vibration, grease, oil, and dust
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an accredited 2-year technical college or trade school
- NETA certification level 2
- 2+ years of experience
- OSHA 30-hour
- MSHA
- NFPA 70-E
- CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED
- Power DB training
