Job Summary

Diagnose and resolve equipment failures for the Electronic Toll Collection System by reading schematics, configuring tolling systems, and performing unscheduled maintenance in response to automated alerts. Conduct regularly scheduled preventive maintenance including inspections, repairs, adjustments, and component replacements while providing 24/7 predictive and corrective support. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools, RF meters, and multimeters to monitor system performance on-site and remotely, interpret Nagios alerts, and review firmware updates to fix repetitive issues. Act as the Point of Contact for off-hours and weekend support, maintain team resources, and submit detailed written reports. Work rotating shifts and on-call schedules across roadside locations, including working at heights up to 40 feet in all weather conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Able to work shifts based around 24x7x365 support
  • Support Neology Maintenance on-call 800 number when required
  • Act as Point of Contact for off-hours and weekend support
  • Have a valid Driver's License
  • Provide written detail reports
  • Communicate, understand and take direction from Immediate supervisors
  • Working at heights while operating ariel bucket truck
  • Have general electrical/electronic/mechanical knowledge and working understanding
  • Some domestic travel may be required
  • Microsoft Windows laptop and desktop computers
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Outlook)
  • Common hand-tools (screwdrivers, socket kits, cutters, etc.)
  • Electrical power tools (electric drills, saws, etc.)
  • Common test/diagnostic equipment (e.g. multimeters)
  • RF meters, loop meters, megaohm meters (aka Megger)
  • Education in a technical field or equivalent formal vocational training
  • Or military training in an electrical, mechanical, or information technology related discipline in lieu of education or training
  • 1+ years' experience operating and maintaining electronic toll collection systems that support express lanes or a combination of education, training and job-related experience is desired
  • Knowledge of ticket handling and other CMMS
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are required
  • Maintenance experience with PC/Server service, RFID system service and/or Security and Surveillance System service is desired
  • Successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record and background checks, as required
  • Work at heights up to 40 ft utilizing bucket trucks, ladders, or other means
  • OSHA Certifications may be required
  • US Citizens and those who are authorized to work independently in the United States

  • Technical background

  • Comprehend and utilize maintenance documents
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment
  • Understand and diagnose network related issues
  • Receive, interpret, and respond to Nagios Alerts
  • Monitor system performance both on-site and remotely
  • Make critical decisions to ensure systems remain fully operational
  • Review and test firmware updates as needed to fix repetitive issues
