Job Summary

Assemble and repair high voltage power transformers, operate oil processing equipment for vacuum filling, and maintain mechanical working order. Transport generators and trailers to customer locations while overseeing equipment performance and providing daily progress reports. Travel to different sites, working outdoors in all weather conditions and occasionally near moving mechanical parts or at heights. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and availability for regular overnight domestic travel up to 75% of the time. Flexible hours, overtime, and weekend availability are mandatory.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Supplemental courses in electrical maintenance
  • Current and valid driver's license
  • Good driving record
  • Ability to crawl, climb, stand and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to pass a fit for duty exam
  • Availability for regular overnight domestic travel
  • Availability for occasional international travel
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends, holidays and nights
  • Ability to travel up to 75% as needed

Desired Qualifications

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • NCCO Crane Certification
  • Some knowledge of the fundamentals and principles of mechanical
  • Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions required in working in a power distribution facility
  • Ability to learn to read and interpret electrical diagrams and prints
  • Ability to learn to read and interpret a variety of power generation and distribution metering and recording devices
  • Ability to learn the practices and procedures of the industry
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions
