Field Service Technician

Job Summary
Conduct on-site belt installation, splicing, and preventative maintenance for conveyor systems, including emergency repairs and diagnostics for equipment at customer sites. Fabricate belts in the shop, perform rigging for lifting rolls and tooling, and execute millwright tasks such as torch heating, cutting, and replacing components like bearings, idlers, pulleys, gearboxes, and motors. Serve as the primary customer contact for technical issues, document findings, and recommend system enhancements while ensuring compliance with local, national, and Motion safety standards. Provide technical support and training to customers on operational aspects and communicate findings to stakeholders. Perform duties on a 24/7 on-call basis, drive company vehicles within one year, and work in indoor or outdoor conditions with physical demands including lifting up to 100 pounds and working at heights.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read measuring and equipment and perform basic math calculations
- Ability to operate shop equipment safely
- Ability to operate (be trained to operate) manlifts, forklifts, hand power tools and shop equipment safely
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness and ability to drive company vehicles in alignment with Company policy required within one year of start date
- Must be in alignment with company drug free workplace and other required customer regulatory requirements
- Typically requires a technical degree
- Zero (0) to three (3) years of related experience or an equivalent combination
