Job Summary
Provide world-class support to customers through start-ups, audits, maintenance, repair, and training of Safeline X-Ray, Safeline Metal Detectors, Hi-Speed Checkweighers, or CI Vision machines. Manage all aspects of field service support including communications, scheduling, written report preparation, and job assignment maintenance while adhering to MT PI procedures. Satisfy all safety requirements at both MT-PI and customer sites, attend tier calls led by a Regional Service Manager, and efficiently execute scheduled service calls directed from Dispatch. Identify root causes of service issues to achieve first-time fixes and develop strong customer relationships. Accurately complete and submit service reports, timesheets, and expense reports in a timely manner. Maintain company-supplied equipment, tools, and inventory while keeping up with ongoing technical training. Weekend and afterhours work as required based on workload and rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Unrestricted ability to obtain rental vehicles
- Valid passport
- Fluency in English
- Trained or in the process of being trained in 1 of the 5 major areas (MD, XR, CW, VI, and ProdX)
- Successful GPM results: 'Meets Expectations' or better in all categories
- Ability to constantly lift and move tools and equipment up to 75 pounds
- Ability to regularly climb (ascend/descend) stairs and ladders
- Ability to constantly stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to constantly position self to service machinery in tight and/or dark spaces
- Ability to constantly visually inspect machinery, computers, tools and parts
- Ability to constantly operate a motor vehicle, drive long distances, and regularly sit for long period while traveling by car or plane
- Occasional shift differences (early morning/late night)
- Occasional 10 hour + days
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Electronics or Engineering Technology
- Equivalent work experience to an Associate's degree in Electronics or Engineering Technology
- Knowledge of mechanics, electronics, and distribution systems
- Working mechanical knowledge of conveyor systems
- Working knowledge of AC and DC electrical distribution systems
- Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
- Ability to read blue prints and schematics
- Experience working in a fast paced environment and meeting tight time constraints
- Fluency in Spanish
