Job Summary
Conduct installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs on UPS, LV, and MV power distribution equipment across client sites throughout the US. Perform installation, calibration, preventative maintenance, and root cause analysis on breakers, shutdown switches, wiring harnesses, alternators, and battery systems. Assist with onsite startup, commissioning, and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) while reviewing electrical plans to confirm technical accuracy. Serve as the on-site technician answering client questions, educating them on maintenance best practices, and building long-term relationships. Provide rotating on-call support when critical systems go down. Requires 90% travel, a valid driver's license, and 1-2+ years of experience with UPS and power distribution equipment.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2+ years working with UPS, generators, governors, regulators, MV/LV switchgear, or similar power equipment
- Industry Background: Datacenters, power generation, utilities, oil & gas, marine, or energy sectors
- UPS & Power Distribution equipment
- Tools: Proficient with multimeters, hand tools, wiring equipment, and soldering
- Software: Comfortable with Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting
- Driver's License: Valid license with clean driving record (required for travel)
- Strong customer interaction and reporting skills
- High school diploma or GED required

- Mobility: Ability to move around the manufacturing plant and/or construction project site including walking, standing, and climbing stairs
- Manual Dexterity: use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Lifting: Ability to lift and carry items up to fifty (50) pounds. All lifting should be done following OSHA standards
- Visual and Auditory Requirements: Must be able to see and hear well enough to navigate the plant and/or construction project site safely and communicate effectively with team members
- 90% travel
- FLSA non-exempt position is paid on an hourly basis, where project requirements and tight client deadlines may require workweeks over forty (40) hours (including weekends or holidays)
- This role will be in a production setting and/or construction project site
Desired Qualifications
- UPS experience (Delta Electronics, Schneider Electric, Eaton, Vertiv or similar)
- Electrical Distribution experience (Schneider Electric, Eaton, ABB, or similar)
