Field Service Technician - Mesa, AZ

Job Summary
Perform intermediate-level troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications on emergency lighting inverters installed at customer locations. Travel to sites in a company vehicle to test, replace batteries, install equipment, and perform system startup and commissioning. Maintain compliance with product specifications and NFPA 70E safety protocols while completing necessary job documentation. Provide professional customer service and training to representatives as required. Work early mornings, nights, or weekends, including overnight stays when customer schedules dictate. Assist colleagues to develop skills while following work schedules set by service coordinators.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- two years technical training related experience
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience as a field service technician
- Experience in electronics and electricity
- Strong knowledge of inverter technology
- battery knowledge
- knowledge of UPS system (uninterruptible power supply)
- ability to troubleshoot and repair emergency lighting inverters
- ability to perform maintenance work on inverters
- ability to perform system start-ups and commissioning
- ability to change out electronics and replace boards
- Acceptable if has knowledge of UPS system (uninterruptible power supply)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with power electronics is a plus
