Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical aspects of underground mechanical cutting equipment at high-profile mining and tunneling sites. Perform new equipment commissioning and customer training with minimal supervision, inspecting for faults and adjusting systems per scope of work. Test repaired equipment for operational performance, complete time records, technical reports, and failure lists, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Build strong relationships with internal and external customers while ensuring compliance with all regulatory safety policies. This role involves approximately 50% travel via company vehicle, covering the Western United States with occasional overseas training in Austria. Candidates must be comfortable working underground and surface, possess strong diagnostic skills, and have at least seven years of industry-related experience.
