Job Summary
Conduct field inspections to identify equipment failure causes, then plan and sequence repairs for construction and agricultural machinery. Recondition and repair machine components while pre-ordering necessary parts and materials. Perform repairs safely, ensuring cosmetic standards and maintaining clean work areas. Maintain accurate records of time, parts, and supplies, reporting daily from the field. Keep shop tools, vehicles, and personal protective equipment in order while adhering to all safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years working as equipment technician
- Be able to work independently of direct supervision in a field environment
- Must have an inventory of hand tools to facilitate the assigned repairs
- Clean driving history
Desired Qualifications
- Contribution to spirit of teamwork and cooperation through the branch location, specifically with parts personnel and other service technicians
- Spanish speaking is valued
- A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred
- Prior experience as a field service technician preferred
