Job Summary
Field Service Technician/Mechanic role focusing on in-field inspection and repair of construction and heavy equipment. Responsibilities include performing inspections to identify causes of failure, repairing machine components in the field with high quality, reconditioning and repairing equipment, planning repair methods and sequences, pre-ordering all required parts and materials, executing repairs safely and efficiently, ensuring cosmetics and standards are met, maintaining a clean and safe work area, keeping detailed records of time, parts, supplies, and purchases, and maintaining tools and vehicles. The position emphasizes independent field work, teamwork with parts personnel and technicians, and effective communication with customers; Spanish speaking is valued. A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred, with prior field service experience favored. Documentation of daily records and adherence to safety PPE is required.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years working as equipment technician
- Be able to work independently in a field environment
- Contribution to spirit of teamwork and cooperation with parts personnel and other service technicians
- Spanish speaking is valued
- A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred
- Prior experience as a field service technician preferred
- Must have an inventory of hand tools to facilitate the assigned repairs
- Clean driving history
