Field Service Technician

Job Summary
Install machines and accessories at customer sites, including assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating, and wiring. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software problems on CNC lathes and machining centers, then test operations after completion. Train customers on machine functions and learn new features as they become available. Complete reports documenting installations, problem assessments, repairs, and parts installed. Utilize test equipment for troubleshooting and maintain a safe work environment. This role involves overnight travel from residence to facilities primarily in the Anniston, AL area, with assignments requiring multiple night stays.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly
- High School Diploma
- 3-7 years of experience in Field Service
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive daily basis
- Heavier lifting in excess of 50lbs on periodic basis
- Ability to problem solve depending on situation
- Sound writing and reporting skills
- Strong people skills
- Travel is required
- Assignments will require overnight or multiple night stay

- HYD/Pneumatic circuits
- General computer skills
- Read/understand engineering drawings
- Ability to work on own or in group while completing necessary tasks
