Job Summary
Field Service Technician responsible for on-site installation, start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of power distribution equipment at customer sites. Requires reading and interpreting electrical drawings and service manuals, documenting technical information and safety compliance, and collaborating with engineering/manufacturing teams to address quality and warranty concerns. Must travel to customer locations, perform diagnostics with electrical test equipment, install/adjust/repair electro-mechanical components, and support service sales efforts with engineering and manufacturing staff. Strong organizational skills, safety-minded approach, and ability to operate within a fast-paced, high-urgency environment are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 2-Yr Technical Degree and minimum of 2 years of electrical/mechanical experience
- Ability to travel, including overnight stays when required
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, power studies and other technical documents including equipment operating and repair manuals
- Computer program skills must include Microsoft suite of programs
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to drive a company and/or rented vehicle and be insured
- Must comply with all company administrative and safety policies
