Job Summary
Support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and control systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals while managing PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networking protocols. Travel frequently to customer sites, including overnight stays, to ensure equipment reliability and user training where applicable. Maintain accurate documentation using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This network connects skilled professionals with multiple Manistee-based organizations seeking long-term fit in manufacturing environments.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., electronics, mechatronics, industrial maintenance) or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and control systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
- Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networking protocols.
- Ability to travel frequently to customer sites, including overnight stays.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Certification in a specialized skill relevant to manufacturing equipment (e.g., hydraulics, robotics, advanced electrical).
- Demonstrated ability to train end-users or less experienced technicians on equipment operation and basic maintenance.
- Proficiency in using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work order management and documentation.
