Job Summary
Install, repair, and maintain Pregis Packaging and Sharp Systems equipment while delivering in-field support and optimizing material delivery systems. Implement preventive maintenance schedules, conduct hands-on demonstrations, and train end-users on operational procedures. Troubleshoot film, consumable, and machinery issues, generate quality control reports, and perform system inspections to reduce unplanned outages. Act as the primary technical resource for assigned products, execute debugging of operating procedures, and coordinate field testing of new products and change orders. Maintain inventory control for parts and tools, ensure accurate documentation, and mentor staff in troubleshooting methodologies. This role requires 50% travel daily Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from 2-year college
- At least 5 years of related experience and/or training
- Mechanical assembly skills and ability to read blueprints/manuals/electrical schematics
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance skills and some electrical aptitude
- Excellent communication skills paired with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external customers at all levels
- Ability to work successfully with little to no direct supervision
- Effective time management and cost control skills
- A clean driving record
- Availability to travel daily Monday to Friday within an assigned territory
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Walking extended distances
- Standing for extended times up to 75% of the day
- This role requires up to 50% travel
