Job Summary
Install, service, and train customers on metal fabricating machinery such as folders, shears, and press brakes at domestic and international locations. Check machine voltages, align equipment, and test functions with material to ensure proper bends and dimensions. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues by reading schematics and replacing defective components. Train clients on part programming, control functions, safety switches, and equipment limitations. Submit detailed service and expense reports weekly while communicating updates to management. This role involves 80% travel and requires a background in electronics or heavy machinery with valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License
- Background in electronics or heavy machinery
- Must be close to major airport
- Must be available for 80% travel (domestic and international)
- Must be able to lift up to 80lbs
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment
- Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and hydraulic flow charts
- Must be able to utilize voltmeters to test voltage and current readings
- Must know the functions of electrical and hydraulic components within the machine
- Must be able to identify machine problems
- Must be able to troubleshoot the machine to identify the cause of the problem
- Must be able to replace defective components
- Must be able to clearly communicate machine updates to the customer and management of client
- Must be able to check in every morning
- Must be able to check out every evening upon finishing work for the day
- Must be able to fill out detailed Service Reports
- Must be able to prepare accurate Expense Reports
- Must be able to perform Customer service
- Must be able to perform Machine Installation
- Must be able to perform Training on machines
- Must be able to perform Machine Service
- Must be able to Accurately Document
- Must be able to Check for proper machine voltages
- Must be able to Align and level the machine as necessary
- Must be able to Properly install all machine accessories
- Must be able to Test machines for proper functions
- Must be able to Perform tests with material assuring proper bends and dimensions
- Must be able to Train customers on part programming
- Must be able to Train customers on full functions of controls
- Must be able to Train customers on machine functions and limitations
- Must be able to Train customers on location and operation of safety switches
- Must be able to Train junior personnel on all functions of equipment
- Must be able to Identify machine problems
- Must be able to Troubleshoot the machine to identify the cause of the problem
- Must be able to Read and understand electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and hydraulic flow charts
- Must be able to Utilize voltmeters to test voltage and current readings
- Must be able to Know the functions of electrical and hydraulic components within the machine

Desired Qualifications
- Preference for CNC or PLC experience
- Strong oral skills
