Job Summary
Conduct testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting on low-, medium-, and high-voltage power distribution equipment for commercial and industrial customers. Perform instrument transformer, power transformer, cable, circuit breaker, and protective relay testing while diagnosing issues, replacing components, and recommissioning switchgear and transformers. Lead and support field crews as needed, follow strict lockout/tagout safety procedures, and communicate technical solutions clearly to customers. Submit accurate service reports adhering to NETA or NICET standards. Requires 5+ years of electrical testing experience, valid driver's license, and willingness to work flexible hours including on-call rotations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant electrical testing experience
- Comfortable using industry testing equipment such as meggers, digital multimeters, hi-pot testers, oil dielectric strength testers, relay test sets, primary and secondary injection equipment, cable fault detectors, and oscilloscopes
- At least 3 years of driving experience with a valid, unrestricted driver's license
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to read and understand schematics, manuals, and safety procedures
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations
