Job Summary
Field Laborer – Field Technician responsibilities include loading/unloading equipment, assisting in service, repair and installation of water pump systems; identify hoses, pipes, fittings, and pumps in performance of maintenance and repair activities; utilize motorized equipment handling machinery to safely load/unload equipment; assist in securing loads; ensure yard and loading areas are clear of debris and trash and equipment is organized and easy to access; follow all safety processes and procedures; travels locally as needed to assist with mobilization/demobilization of systems on customer job sites; assists in connecting pipes, setting pumps, and dismantling equipment/accessories when the project is complete; assist in diagnosing issues with diesel powered heavy equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- General mechanical aptitude
- Prior experience in a hands-on, field-based position
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment and/or machinery preferred
- Diesel engine experience preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Ability to follow directions and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel locally as needed
- Ability to read, write legibly and communicate effectively
- Ability to safely operate diesel-powered hydraulic lifting equipment
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds
