Job Summary
Field Service Technician responsible for on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations. Performs installation, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and software upgrades; documents service actions and maintains accurate records. Requires hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, ability to read diagrams and manuals, competence with diagnostic tools, and strong customer communication. Travel up to ~30% with potential overnight trips; must lift up to 60 lbs and use hand/power tools. Provides customer training and supports field service team as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in a technical field preferred
- Equivalent field service experience considered
- Must hold a valid driver’s license/Real ID with a good driving record and/or passport
- Ability to travel frequently, including overnight travel, averaging 30% of the work week
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in the field
