Job Summary
Provide customer support, field testing and repair of electronic dynamic message signs and traffic control systems. Travel to customer sites to perform onsite installation, testing and troubleshooting of dynamic message sign systems located on interstates and local roads. Coordinate, manage and complete assigned project work orders in a timely manner; write routine trip reports and test result reports; communicate with internal and external customers; facilitate on-site or remote training sessions. Requires electronics experience, ability to read schematics, network basics, and proficient use of MS Office; flexible travel up to 75% and ability to lift 50 pounds; works in various environments and may operate a bucket truck at heights up to 75 feet. Compensation: $25-$30 per hour. Benefits include Health Care Plan, 401k with company match, Life Insurance, PTO, Disability, Training and Development.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience in basic electronics
- Experience in the use of multi meters measuring AC and DC voltage
- Able to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams
- Proficient with MS Office
- Basic IP network troubleshooting experience
- Basic Linux/Unix command line experience is a plus
- Availability to travel up to 75% to customer sites; able to travel on short notice
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform in cold, noisy, stressful environments
- Able to work from a bucket truck at heights up to 75 feet
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
