Job Summary

Field Service Technician provides first and second level IT support across the division’s IT environment, works closely with end users and divisional leadership to address needs, installs software/hardware and peripherals (monitors, keyboards, printers) per defined specs, performs warranty repairs on desktops/laptops, troubleshoots hardware/software/operator issues, handles basic printer/handheld device support, conducts limited network diagnostics (WiFi, connectivity) and cabling/punch-downs per standards, assists with racking/installing networking hardware and servers per instructions, escalates outages using defined processes, serves as liaison in information systems initiatives, and provides on-call and weekend support; requires CompTIA A+ and other certifications within 12 months and 3 years’ PC/peripheral experience, with ability to support network and server environments; role is onsite Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, with commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration with field and home-office teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Must obtain CompTIA A+ certification within 12 months of hire
  • Must complete the CNET Low Voltage cable Installer certification within 12 months of hire
  • Must become Lenovo and Dell warranty certified within 12 months of hire
  • Three years previous personal computer and peripheral experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required
  • Must be able to provide Network and server support
