Field Service Technician - Installation

Job Summary
Install equipment and upgrades at customer facilities, assemble conveyor-driven sortation systems, and verify conformance to specifications using power and hand tools. Test all system features and functions, monitor fixes, and follow proper escalation policies to ensure timely and efficient project completion. Read schematics and assembly diagrams while collaborating with teams to move and install large automated systems in accordance with engineering procedures. This role requires 80%+ travel, including up to 95%, with the company covering travel, hotel, and per diem. Candidates must have 3+ years installing material handling equipment, strong electrical experience, and the ability to work 10-hour shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to travel up to 95% - with the company paying travel, hotel, and per diem
- 3+ years' experience installing or servicing material handling equipment, conveyors, or other industrial equipment
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills
- Electrical installation of material handling systems
- Experience using computer, cell phone, email, Microsoft Office and Teams
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and machine drawings
- Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
- Communication skills to discuss system operations to non-technical staff and end user customers
- Keen attention to detail
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Valid drivers' license and ability to qualify for a US passport
- Ability to work minimum of 10-hour shifts
- Ability to lift, push, bend, and unload equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be experienced using powered hand tools
- Ability to read and understand schematics and assembly diagrams
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
