Job Summary
Field Service Technician role responsible for on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer sites. Requires hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, ability to diagnose faults at customer locations, perform installation and preventive maintenance, provide on-the-job training to customer teams, manage service records and documentation, and travel to various customer sites (up to ~30% weekly). Strong communication, independent work capability, and willingness to work extended hours as needed are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in a technical field (mechanical, electrical, electronics, automation, etc.) preferred
- Equivalent field service experience considered
- Experience with electrical and electromechanical systems
- Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to travel frequently, including overnight travel, averaging 30% of the work week
- Valid driver’s license/Real ID or passport for travel
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs and perform field service duties
