Job Summary
Field Service Technician III with at least 2 years of experience in reciprocating compression, responsible for planning and executing site installation activities, acting as SME to investigate and resolve customer-reported technical problems, diagnosing engine or compressor issues, performing field testing and supervising repairs, leading safety training and safety reviews, attending on-site operations meetings, leading turn-around activities, and fostering long-term customer relationships. Requires strong technical training in oil & gas, proficiency with engineering documentation (blueprints, drawings, schematics, BOM), and advanced skills in tooling, troubleshooting, and leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Reciprocating Compression
- Meets all sublevel (FS Technician I & II) requirements
- Education - Complete training for: Associates Degree with a technical concentration (Bachelor’s Degree preferred) or equivalent work experience; Formal training in a technical certificate program; Technical training in the oil and gas industry or associated industry
- Mastery of core competencies including advanced special tooling, engine & compressor theory, product knowledge, etc.
- Advanced proficiency in computer skills, including Word & Excel
- Mastery of product documentation, including blueprints, drawings, schematics, BOM, etc.
- Advanced leadership skills
- Safety focused, service-oriented, and business-focused mindset
