Field Service Technician II (Low Voltage)

Job Summary
Field Service Technician Level II conducts advanced installation activities beyond Level 1, including configuring and programming devices and management platforms, leading installation teams, performing FAT, commissioning systems, and delivering customer training at a basic operations level. Responsibilities include executing Level 1 installer duties per documentation, managing project/service tickets, ensuring task accountability and timely updates, mentoring Level 1 installers, coordinating with Project Delivery Coordinators/Project Managers/customers, applying expertise with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance products, pursuing professional development in leadership and communication, performing FATs before installation, configuring and commissioning systems, and taking on additional duties as needed to support business operations. Must leverage strong communication, leadership, and field/IT skills to ensure high-quality installations and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years with a previous construction trade
- Advance knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage)
- Hands-on/field experience from previous work experience
- Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, general networking, computers, VoIP, etc.)
- Ability to identify and use common low voltage cabling
- Possesses and maintains a working knowledge of basic IT networking, configurations and IP addressing
- Ability to read architectural drawings
- Team management/supervisor experience
- Previous experience completing projects within scope
- Previous experience with service ticketing processes
- Any previous knowledge in fire, CCTV, intrusion, emergency nurse call systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have valid US Driver’s license
