Job Summary
Field Service Technician II is responsible for installation, startup, and calibration of industrial instrumentation (burners, boilers, HVAC, actuators), along with troubleshooting advanced issues and providing on-site customer training. The role includes safety checks, project-management responsibilities, and potential supervision of sub-contractors and junior technicians. The position emphasizes troubleshooting, equipment commissioning, system improvements, and delivering high-quality customer service in field settings; extensive experience in electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation drawings, safety training, and hands-on installation tasks are required. The job is primarily in the field with on-site visits to customer sites, and may involve coordinating with general contractors and internal teams to ensure project success.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in a related technical field or related work experience in the listed skillsets and responsibilities
- 5-7 years related work experience in the listed skillsets
- OSHA Safety Trained ideal
- MSHA Safety Trained ideal
- Customer relations experience
- Basic computer skills
- Completed ISA Associate courses, Variable Speed Drive schools, PLC Programming, radiation safety school, control valve training, etc. ideal.
