Field Service Technician II

Job Summary
Field-based technician role performing service orders (turn-ons/offs, meter tests, rereads), investigations of anomalies (usage, no-reads, tamper alerts), utility locates/mark-outs, customer appointments, and after-hours rotations. Operates with CMMS/mobile tools, maintains vehicles/tools, documents results, and upholds safety and SOPs while delivering courteous service at municipal water/wastewater sites. Requires independent work on routine tasks, ability to lift heavy loads, and compliant driving; background screening and driving record review are prerequisites.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical coursework preferred
- 2–4 years field experience in Field Services operations within water/wastewater/public works
- CMMS/mobile work order proficiency
- clean driving record
- ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- ability to work outdoors in varied weather and drive frequently
- effective communication with customers and stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- 2–4 years relevant field experience in Field Services operations within water/wastewater/public works
- CMMS/mobile work order proficiency
- clean driving record
- strong safety mindset (confined space, trenching/MOT, PPE)
- ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb, kneel
